MIKE BROWNING's AFTER DEATH: New Songs Posted Online

October 20, 2009

AFTER DEATH, the Tampa-based band featuring former MORBID ANGEL, NOCTURNUS and ACHERON drummer/vocalist Mike Browning, has posted four new songs on the group's MySpace page. Check out the tracks "Devourer Of Souls", "ChristWas", "Caduceus Strand" and "Lords Of The Black Bath" (new version) at this location.

"[AFTER DEATH's] style of lyrics is more about the magick and rituals that the ancient Egyptians used," Browning recently told Metal Inquisitor. "And we have a full-time keyboard player, so we can make the whole song have more atmosphere instead of just an intro."

AFTER DEATH is:

Mike Browning - Drums, Vocals
Demian Heftel - Guitar
Belial Koblak - Guitar
Zach Elder - Bass, Backing Vocals
Nocturnal - Keyboards

AFTER DEATH's full-length CD, "Retronomicon", was released in 2007 through Iron Pegasus Records. "Retronomicon" is a journey to the beginning of AFTER DEATH in a compilation of four studio recordings ranging from the 2006 demo, "Secret Lords of the Star Chamber Below", with unreleased remixed and mastered versions of all four songs, all the way to the unreleased 2000 EP, "Vibrations". That's over 70 minutes of AFTER DEATH history.

According to a press release, Iron Pegasus Records "did a superb job on the CD with a 16-page color booklet, professional layout and timely release. There are even two different versions of the graphics printed on the CDs for all of you collectors."

"Retronomicon" can be purchased from www.iron-pegasus.com.
